Founder & President
Jennifer Richey, LICSW, LIMHP
National Justice & Care Alliance
Jennifer Richey is a licensed clinical social worker, mental health professional, therapist, advocate, and Founder and President of the National Justice & Care Alliance (NJCA).
For more than a decade, Jennifer has dedicated her career to working with children, families, survivors of trauma, individuals with disabilities, and people navigating some of the most difficult circumstances of their lives. Her professional background spans mental health, child welfare, residential and hospital treatment settings, disability services, hospice, family systems, and private practice.
This diverse experience has given her a unique perspective on both the people these systems are intended to serve and the gaps that can leave vulnerable individuals without meaningful support.
Jennifer has a deep passion for social justice and the protection of vulnerable populations, particularly children, older adults, people with disabilities, and victims and survivors of abuse, violence, exploitation, and trauma.
Throughout her career, she has seen how overwhelming it can be for individuals and families to navigate complicated systems while simultaneously experiencing trauma, financial hardship, fear, or major life transitions.
She believes access to safety, advocacy, mental health care, legal resources, and compassionate support should not depend on a person’s income, social status, disability, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability to navigate a complicated system alone.
That belief became part of the foundation for NJCA.
Jennifer’s vision extends beyond helping individuals survive a crisis. She is committed to creating lasting systemic change throughout the United States, including improving the systems and institutions that profoundly affect children and families.
She is particularly passionate about advancing trauma-informed practices, increasing accountability and transparency, strengthening the voices of children and vulnerable adults, improving access to advocacy and legal support, and promoting meaningful reform within America’s family and court systems.
Through NJCA, Jennifer hopes to help build something that bridges two needs that are too often separated: directly supporting people who need help today while working to change the systems that will affect families tomorrow.
Her work is grounded in a simple principle:
“Every person deserves dignity, safety, a voice, and a meaningful opportunity to be heard.”
For Jennifer, NJCA represents more than an organization. It is the next chapter of a lifelong commitment to helping people and a commitment to building systems that protect, rather than further harm, those who turn to them for help.
