In immediate danger? Call 911 24/7 crisis resources

Get help

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Whatever you are facing, you deserve to be heard and supported. Start with a short initial screening through the Get Help pathway — not a full intake — or use the crisis resources below if you need help right now. NJCA is not an emergency service.

Staying safe online

Your safety comes first, on and offline.

If someone may be monitoring your phone or computer, these steps can help. No method is completely private, so use what feels right for your situation.

  1. Use a safer device

If you can, use a device the person causing harm cannot access, such as a trusted friend’s phone or a public library computer.

  2. Browse privately

A private or incognito window doesn’t save your browsing history on that device. It won’t hide your activity from your internet provider or monitoring software.

  3. Clear your history with care

Clearing your entire history suddenly can draw attention. Removing only specific pages may feel safer.

NJCA screening

A short first step, not a full intake.

NJCA is being developed to help individuals and families navigating crisis and complex legal and social-service systems. This screening is approximately 10 questions. It is the first step in the Get Help pathway — not a full intake. A fuller intake can follow this same pathway when NJCA’s secure system is ready.

Completing this form does not promise legal representation, services, outcomes, or eligibility. Donations are never required to request or receive help.

You can also use the short screening above, or send a message here. Future intake will use this same Get Help pathway rather than a separate page. NJCA is in its startup stage.
